The Strange Things I've Seen In and Out of the Military! By: Dan Barker (Field Investigator Indiana MUFON) Interview with Bob White on December 28th 2006 Phone interview with Bob White in regards to his UFO sighting and Entitie encounters he has had during his time in the Navy and his on going sightings after he retired from the Navy. I meet Bob earlier this year through a mutual friend. I have talked to Bob on several occasions about such things as UFOs and the paranormal. Two subjects we are both very interested in. Bob granted me the interview with one stipulation that I was to not use his real name. I have come to know and respect Bob and promised him that I would not reveal his real name. Here is the phone interview that I did with Bob White in Ohio on the evening of December 28th 2006. Dan Barker: Bob, in the past few months we have talked a lot about UFOs and the paranormal. Can you tell me about the first encounter you have with an entity? Bob White: My very first encounter was in 1948. I was 3 years old. I woke up in the middle of the night. I heard something walking around. I was sleeping in my parent's bed. I looked up towards the bedroom door and saw what looked like the Michelin Man standing at the foot of the bed. He was around 7 foot tall and had Cole black eyes that looked straight at me. I shook both my mother and father, but they did not wake up. I was so frightened that I pulled the sheet up over my face and waited there shaking a few seconds later I pulled the sheet down and the being was gone. I laid there awake the rest of the night afraid to go to sleep. DB: Bob, do you think it could have been a nightmare from a movie or radio program that you had watched or listen to before going to bed? BW: No! Back then we did not have a TV or listen to the radio much. I did not know about such things as monsters or UFOs at that age. I did not see my first SCI FI Movie until I was a teenager and even then I did not think such things where real. It would be another 22 years before my next encounter. DB: When was your next encounter? BW: It was in 1970. I was in the Navy stationed in Hawaii. I was on a day pass doing some sight seeing. I was walking along the beach and saw a group of people walking towards me. As they got closer I could feel a vibration and sense of calming came over me. I thought this is strange. As they got closer I could see there were a man and a woman and a group of 15 people following them. As they got closer to me the vibration and calming feeling got stronger. As the couple approached me they started talking to me as if they knew me. The couple was in their 20's both blond and very attractive. The woman was 5'4 with long blond hair and the Man was 5'6 with short blond hair. The vibrations were very strong and relaxing. The group of people that were standing behind them just stood there like they were in a trance of peace not talking but waiting and listening to us talk. They asked me if I had been in the Navy long and where was I from. I answered their questions and asked them were they here on vacation with their family or on spring break? The couple said they were here on business and that they were not related that they were boyfriend and girlfriend. They had on normal cloths but matched both had on a black shirt, jeans and sandals. I also noticed that their skin was flawless. No marks or scars of any kind. They were very pale slim build very Nordic looking. We stood there for a few more minutes talking about the sights in Hawaii. I told them I need to go and meet some friend and that I wish well on there stay in Hawaii. Something inside me wanted to follow them but I didn't. We said out good byes and as they walked away the feelings of vibration and calming went away. The couple and the15 people that were with them went walking toward the ocean. They found a spot and sat down in the sand looking at the water. The couple sat in the middle while the people made a circle around them. As I walked away I thought to myself this is strange what was going on? I looked back and all of a sudden it hit me these people are not just normal tourist they are beings from somewhere else. As I thought this I looked back and the blond woman looked at me, nodded and smiled as if to say that is right. I met my friends a few minutes later and told them about what had happened. They both looked at me as if I were crazy. I have taken several Lie Detector test in regards of things I have seen while in the Navy at the request of my commanding officers and I have passed them all. DB: Bob, you have also mentioned that you have had several UFO sightings. Can you tell me about some of them? BW: In 1997 two weeks after the Phoenix lights sightings. I was in the front yard with my daughter carrying in groceries that we had just bought. I was in the evening but it was still very light outside. As I was coming back out of the house my daughter grabbed me and asked what that is? I look up and coming out of the east in a black triangle the size of a foot ball field. It was so big it was blocking out the sunlight casting a shadow over my house and yard. It was about 100 to 150 feet up in the air. It had a bar of white lights with 2 orange lights at each end. It made no sound and just hovered there. I ran in the house and called the Fayette County Sheriffs Department. The officer said that they had had several calls in the past 30 minutes reporting the same thing they were send a unit to check it out. There had been similar calls coming in from Highland, Clinton and Piqua County. I went back outside where my daughter was still looking up at it. This had gone on for about 15 minutes. All of a Sudden it took off going towards the South. About 3 minutes later 2 jets I assume come from Wright Patterson Air force base took off in the same direction chasing the craft. The craft would appear and disappear as if it were playing games with the jets. This lasted for about 10 minutes and the craft disappeared. My daughter and I were in amazement, we did not know what to make of what we just saw. About a week passed and I ran into a friend of mine that works as an officer on Fayette County Police Department. I asked him if they had any news on what had been seen that day. He stated that there were several people that witnessed the jets chasing the craft and that one witness had recorded it on tape. Local authorities were now looking at the tape to analyze it. We never heard anything about it again. That was just one of my many sightings that I had experienced in my 57 years. Bob informed me that he had to go, but promised that he would tell me about more of his sighting that took place while he was in the Navy. I am still in contact with Bob and I am working on more interviews with him to be posted at a later time. DB |
