More Critter Forms By Steven Hile This critique looks at an unusual video report submitted to Indiana MUFON in 2006 by an individual who is involved in his own research. The report was investigated by Indiana Field Investigators at the time and the resulting data documented. However, do to the unusual nature of the report there are some aspects which are still being researched. Much of this data has been made available by Indiana MUFON for this critique. During February of 2006 the witness visited Nevada to see for himself if there was anything to the Area-51 mystery. With an open mind and a video camera, he embarked on his journey into the desert and got more than he would have bargained for. He has setup a website (www.ufosoverarea51.com) to share this information, his thoughts about this experience as well as video evidence. The anomalous objects were captured while videoing but were not noticeable in the camera viewer. Only after returning home and reviewing videos on DVDs were these forms or objects noticed. The video digital camera and other equipment used to make this report are of current technology including the incorporation of CCD devices which may image objects outside the normal visual electromagnetic range. The original digital video images according to the witness were taken near the area known as Area 51 and Rachel, Nevada. The witness did not see the greatest majority of the objects in the sky at the time of video taping. Only upon returning to Indiana and transferring the footage to DVD did he find most of the objects. Indiana MUFON investigators viewed the data originally on DVD. The use of a DVD player with stop action and slow motion was used. Distance in the videos is deceiving. Generally the distances are greater than first perceived. Objects can be seen coming up from behind mountain tops miles away. Important Points In Viewing These Videos: If the videos do not play it may be necessary to up grade computer software to do so. The video DVDs viewed in original normal speed showed these objects as only a flicker as they moved extremely fast through the camera field of view. The normal person upon viewing the original video would not notice these objects due to their speed. These videos are in slow-motion in order to show the objects. As such they do no show up in all frames which is the nature of video recording ran in slow motion. Since these videos are in slow motion some viewers may claim these are only birds in normal flight patterns. But again at normal video speed the objects move through the screen as instant flickers. The creations of these on-line videos are second reproductions from the DVDs captured from the original digital video camera. These videos are all viewable on the above noted website. A number are linked on the home page. The majority of links are found on the "Summary of Events" page where descriptions are given. Analysis of Videos These videos were originally reviewed on DVD containing full length video as it was recorded. A DVD player with slow motion and zoom-in was necessary (Sony model DVP-NS55P). For the average person it would have been very difficult to find these very fast moving forms, as well as find where they are located on the videos. With all taken into account the video presentations given are remarkable. As linked here the videos are somewhat fuzzy as second generation reproductions. Reviewing even these videos several times is necessary to pickup these fast moving forms. As to whether these forms were visible to the human eye is in determent. They may be invisible from either their movement speed or from their own resonance visibility although a combination may be possible. It is difficult to determine distances in these videos. Reviewing the distant mountains in the videos can help. Mountains are 5 to 20 miles distance. Object sizes appear to be up to 30 feet for the ones from behind the mountains. These forms are in keeping with those photographed by Trevor James Constable. Constables forms were photograph on infrared film which was later developed for stills showing the forms. There was no question the forms were invisible to the eye but were picked up on the film. Here I believe they are invisible as were picked up by the extended energy range of the CCD devices of the digital camera. There is no question these forms can move and appear in many cases to be moving faster than the speed of sound. The final analysis of this data would be in support of the other data presented in this and the previous Segments. I would include them among what I term Constable's critters. The nature of "critters" is in question. There are those who view them as actual living beings as we understand "living". That however is very questionable and one I will deal with in the next Part 2 of this Segment 6. |
